Job Description

The Catering Store Keeper is responsible for managing and maintaining the inventory of food, beverages, and supplies within a catering establishment. Here's a detailed job description:

Key Responsibilities

1. Inventory Management: Maintains accurate records of inventory levels, monitors stock levels, and orders supplies as needed.

2. Receiving and Storage: Receives and stores food, beverages, and supplies, ensuring proper labeling, dating, and storage.

3. Stock Control: Conducts regular stock takes, identifies discrepancies, and investigates stock losses.

4. Ordering and Procurement: Places orders for supplies, negotiates prices, and ensures timely delivery.

5. Food Safety and Hygiene: Ensures that all stored food and supplies meet food safety and hygiene standards.

6. Equipment Maintenance: Maintains and repairs catering equipment, reporting any issues to management.

7. Team Support: Assists catering staff with food preparation, plating, and service as needed.

Requirements and Skills

1. Catering or Hospitality Experience: Proven experience in catering, hospitality, or a related field.

2. Inventory Management Skills: Strong organizational and inventory management skills.

3. Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.

4. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

5. Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects.

6. Basic Math Skills: Basic math skills for ordering, inventory management, and cost control.

Work Environment

1. Catering Establishment: Works in a fast-paced catering establishment, including kitchens, storage areas, and offices.
