The Store Keeper is responsible for managing and overseeing the storage, handling, and distribution of food items, raw materials, furnished and non-furnished items, tools, and equipment for a chain of restaurants. The role ensures that all materials are received, stored, and issued in an organized and efficient manner while maintaining accurate inventory records.
Key Responsibilities
Receive, inspect, and record deliveries of food items, raw materials, tools, and equipment.
Ensure proper documentation for all materials received and issued.
Prepare SIV (Store Issue Vouchers) and SRV (Store Receipt Vouchers) for purchases, issues, and receipt of raw materials and food items.
Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock checks.
Organize storage areas for easy identification, accessibility, and proper stock rotation.
Coordinate with the Accounts Department and other departments for timely material issuance.
Monitor material usage and report shortages, damages, or excess stock.
Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards within the store area.
Coordinate the return of unused, damaged, or expired materials.
Ensure compliance with company policies and health & safety regulations.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Store Keeper, preferably in the food & restaurant industry.
Minimum 2 years of experience in inventory management.
Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office.
Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
Physically fit and able to handle manual lifting when required.
Minimum qualification: High School Diploma or equivalent.
