We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized
Store Keeper with accounting knowledge
to manage inventory operations while supporting basic financial processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for receiving, storing, issuing goods, and maintaining inventory records, as well as assisting with bookkeeping tasks like inventory costing, reconciliation, and ledger maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive, inspect, and record deliveries of goods and supplies.
Organize and store items in an orderly and accessible manner within the store.
Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment when necessary.
Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management systems.
Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile with system records.
Assist the accounts team with inventory valuation and cost reporting.
Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly stock and transaction reports.
Coordinate with the procurement and accounts departments on invoices, purchase orders, and vendor documentation.
Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards in the storage area.
Handle basic accounting entries related to stock and materials.
Support in budgeting and forecasting related to inventory and stock usage.
Qualifications:
Degree in
Accounting
,
Business Administration
, or
Supply Chain Management
preferred.
Proven experience as a storekeeper or inventory controller.
Working knowledge of accounting principles and inventory cost management.
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word) and inventory.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
Ability to lift and move stock as needed.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of ERP or warehouse management systems.
Basic understanding of tax and invoice documentation.
Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively
