Job Summary

The Automotive Storekeeper is responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and maintaining inventory of automotive parts, tools, and consumables. The role ensures accurate stock control, proper storage, and timely availability of materials to support workshop, service, and maintenance operations.

Key Responsibilities

Receive, inspect, and verify incoming automotive parts and materials against purchase orders and delivery notes Store automotive spare parts, tools, lubricants, and consumables in designated locations following safety and organization standards Issue spare parts and materials to technicians and workshop staff based on authorized requests Maintain accurate inventory records using manual logs or inventory management software Monitor stock levels and inform management of reorder requirements to prevent shortages or overstocking Conduct regular stock counts and participate in periodic audits Ensure proper labeling, handling, and storage of parts to prevent damage, loss, or obsolescence Coordinate with procurement, service advisors, and workshop supervisors regarding parts availability Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store area in compliance with safety regulations Identify slow-moving, obsolete, or damaged stock and report accordingly
Qualifications and Skills

High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is an advantage Proven experience as a storekeeper, preferably in an automotive or mechanical environment Knowledge of automotive spare parts, components, and tools Basic computer skills and experience with inventory or ERP systems Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities Attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good communication and time management skills
Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and move automotive parts and materials Ability to stand, walk, and work in a warehouse or workshop environment
