Job Description

The Store/Inventory Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, ensuring accurate inventory control, and maintaining the proper functioning of warehouse/store operations. This role involves managing store staff, implementing inventory management systems, and ensuring compliance with company policies and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities



1. Inventory Management



Maintain accurate stock records and conduct regular inventory counts. Monitor stock levels and place orders to replenish inventory when required. Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to minimize loss and discrepancies. Ensure proper labeling, tagging, and categorization of all stored items.

2. Store Operations



Oversee daily store operations, including receiving, storing, and issuing materials. Coordinate with procurement, production, and other departments to ensure smooth material flow. Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and safety in the storage areas. Ensure compliance with quality and safety regulations during storage and handling.

3. Staff Supervision & Training



Supervise and guide storekeepers, warehouse assistants, and other store staff. Allocate tasks and monitor performance to ensure operational efficiency. Train staff on inventory systems, safety protocols, and operational procedures.

4. Documentation & Reporting



Prepare and submit regular inventory reports to management. Verify and process store-related documentation, including delivery notes, invoices, and GRNs (Goods Received Notes). Investigate and resolve discrepancies in stock records.

5. System & Process Improvement



Utilize inventory management software to track and control stock. Recommend and implement improvements to store processes for efficiency and accuracy. Support audits and stock inspections.

Qualifications & Requirements



Bachelor's degree/diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in storekeeping, warehouse, or inventory supervision. Proficiency in MS Office and inventory management software (e.g., ERP systems). Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of safety regulations and warehouse best practices.
