We are looking for a Store Manager – Hypermarkets to join our team.
You will be responsible to manage all Commercial and Operational aspects of the Hypermarket Store through effective team management to achieve the targets.
Sales and Profitability
Ensure alignment of the store with the overall business strategy.
Plan and create and Annual Budget Plan for the store and project monthly/quarterly figures for sales (forecast) and progression.
Ensure achievement of sales targets which have been set for the store
Collaborate positively with the commercial team to drive pricing strategy and suggest department / category wise changes as appropriate
Review, Analyses, MIS and Reporting
Conduct merchandise probes in consultation with DH/Merchandising Managers to optimize department wise /category wise sales
Enhance sales through identification and analysis of trends as per footfall, average bill value, individual SKU sales, suggestive mark downs etc. for the store
Ensure “high level” reporting and MIS for forward planning, space management, stock management and inventory etc for key commercial indicators is done periodically with the Line Manager.
Conduct Monthly review along with teams for key Store commercial information (MIS) (slow moving/fast moving , low margin/high margin, sales vs. trend of stores, high profit builders / high volume builders.
Maintain stock accuracy and control stock loss in the store by analyzing reports (ageing, shrinkage, wastage etc) and develop action plans.
Drive teams to conduct stock count periodically in the store as per guidelines and ensure benchmark results are achieved
Develop a culture where people are committed to achieving high standards in customer service
Conduct daily store walks at the store for delivering great ready to trade store for customers
Display Assets, and Standards
Enforce standard operating procedures to maintain stock and systems accuracy and hygiene standards
Ensure stores and staff presentation and standards are in line with the brand requirements and are consistent across store
Ensure adherence to company health and safety policy at the department level.
Ensure that all brand guidelines and SOP ( standard operating procedures) are followed as mentioned in policy manuals /dockets.
Cash Control/ Management and Audits
Ensure a robust cash control in store through the implementation of SOP for cash management and till management strategy in the store
Support completion of all cash control audits, hygiene audits audit as per guidelines and maintain desired results in the region.
People and Development
Establish clear and regular channels of communication to ensure store is up to date and consistent in focusing on key priorities and driving sales
Implement appropriate staffing model that reflects the operational efficiency and service needs of the business within acceptable level of productivity in store.
Drive engagement in employees through recognition programs, staff welfare programs with support of HR team.
Formulate and execute Succession Plans for teams, to identify and develop successors.
Empower "future stars" by providing them some extra responsibility or projects to provide a platform for growth.
Ensure adequate learning and development opportunities are available for the teams and guide managers to optimize these opportunities.
Ensure that personal behavior reflects the vision and values of the business.
