Job Summary:

For RAK, We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Store Keeper with prior experience in managing building materials inventory. The ideal candidate will be responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and controlling all materials used in construction or building supply operations, ensuring efficient stock handling and accurate documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders or delivery notes. Store building materials in designated locations with proper labeling and categorization. Maintain accurate inventory records of all incoming and outgoing materials using manual logs or inventory software. Issue materials based on approved requisitions while ensuring proper documentation. Monitor stock levels and report shortages or overstock situations to procurement or management. Coordinate with site engineers, purchase department, and logistics teams for timely material movement. Ensure safe handling and storage of materials, including cement, steel, paints, fittings, tools, etc. Conduct regular physical stock checks and reconcile with system data. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the store/warehouse area. Comply with safety regulations and company policies at all times.

Requirements:

Minimum 2-5 years of experience as a store keeper in a building materials or construction environment. Strong knowledge of building materials (e.g., cement, sand, steel, tiles, electricals, plumbing supplies). Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Excel. Ability to lift and move heavy items (as per safety standards). Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills. Basic understanding of safety protocols and store procedures. High school diploma or equivalent; diploma in logistics or warehouse management is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with ERP systems (SAP, Tally, etc.) Forklift certification or experience is an added advantage. Familiarity with barcoding or digital stock tracking systems.
