Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management:

Maintain accurate records of stock levels for all raw materials, tiles, and blocks. This often involves using inventory management software (ERP systems like SAP or Oracle) to monitor stock movements and conduct regular audits.

Receiving and Inspection:

Receive incoming deliveries, unload materials, and inspect them to ensure the quality and quantity match the purchase orders and delivery notes. Report any discrepancies or damaged items immediately.

Storage and Organization:

Store materials properly and systematically to prevent damage, loss, or deterioration. Ensure the store and warehouse areas are clean, organized, and comply with safety and quality standards.

Issuance and Order Fulfillment:

Issue materials to relevant departments, site engineers, or customers based on approved requests, ensuring accuracy in the process.

Documentation and Reporting:

Manage all store documentation, including delivery notes, material requisitions (PR), and inventory reports. Update the status of the store in weekly meetings or as required.

Coordination:

Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to monitor minimum stock levels, initiate reordering to avoid shortages, and arrange for material deliveries to different sites.
Essential Skills and Qualifications

Proven experience as a Store Keeper, Warehouse Clerk, or in inventory management, with a background in the construction or related industry being mandatory for some roles. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in using computers and inventory management software (e.g., MS Excel, ERP systems). Good communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with team members and suppliers. Physical fitness and the ability to handle the demands of store operations, including potential heavy lifting (e.g., using a forklift to load/offload materials like marble/stone). A high school diploma or equivalent is generally the minimum educational requirement.
