Position Details
Position Title: Storekeeper Assistant
Department: Internal Operations (Warehouse & Logistics)
Reports To: Storekeeper
Location: Air Q Ltd., Masdar City, Abu Dhabi, UAE
Employment Type: Full-time
1. Position Purpose
The Storekeeper Assistant supports the Storekeeper in daily warehouse and production storage operations. The role ensures efficient receipt, storage, handling, issuing, and documentation of materials used throughout Air Q's UAV production activities. The position contributes to accurate stock control, compliance with ADCD, OSHAD, and internal procedures, and supports the proper use of the Odoo ERP system.
2. Key Responsibilities
2.1 Receiving & Inspection
Assist in unloading incoming materials, components, and equipment.
Verify quantities and basic physical conditions against Delivery Notes and Purchase Orders.
Report discrepancies, shortages, damages, or nonconformities immediately.
Support the creation of Goods Receipt Notes (GRN) in Odoo when assigned.
2.2 Storage & Stock Organization
Place items into designated storage locations based on SKU, product category, and batch/serial requirements.
Maintain proper segregation for sensitive items.
Follow FIFO/FEFO and acclimatization requirements.
Maintain cleanliness and organization across all storage areas.
2.3 Issuing & Internal Logistics
Prepare and issue materials based on approved Material Requests.
Support accurate documentation of transfers and consumption in Odoo.
Assist in packaging, labeling, and dispatch tasks.
2.4 Inventory Control
Assist in cycle counts and annual inventory activities.
Help investigate stock variances and document findings.
Support reporting low-quantity items to the Storekeeper.
2.5 Documentation & ERP Activities
Support data entry of GRN, stock moves, and adjustments in Odoo.
Maintain proper filing of documents.
Ensure all transactions follow Air Q SOPs.
2.6 Warehouse Safety & Compliance
Follow OSHAD, ADCD Fire Safety, and internal HSE requirements.
Handle hazardous materials safely.
Maintain proper PPE usage.
2.7 General Operational Support
Assist with housekeeping and waste segregation.
Support asset marking and stock labeling.
Assist during supplier inspections or deliveries.
3. Key Skills & Competencies
Technical Skills
Basic warehouse operations knowledge.
ERP familiarity (Odoo preferred).
Understanding of FIFO/FEFO and storage rules.
Behavioural Competencies
Strong attention to detail.
Good communication and teamwork.
Reliability and discipline.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift/move materials within safe limits.
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
4. Education & Experience Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
1-2 years warehouse experience preferred.
Basic computer literacy (Excel, ERP).
5. Working Conditions
Based in Air Q warehouse
Possible handling of chemicals, batteries, electronics.
PPE required as applicable.
Occasional overtime during inventory activities.
