Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Store Keeper to manage our inventory and ensure the efficient flow of materials and equipment for our contracting projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and maintaining accurate records of all items in our warehouse or storage facility. Responsibilities: Inventory Management: Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips. Accurately record and track all inventory movements (receipts, issues, returns, transfers). Maintain accurate inventory records using a computerized inventory management system (specify if you use a specific system). Conduct regular stock checks and physical inventory counts to ensure accuracy. Identify and report discrepancies in inventory levels. Monitor and manage stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking. Implement and maintain a proper storage system for materials and equipment. Organize and maintain a clean and safe storage environment. Material Issuance and Distribution: Issue materials and equipment to project teams based on approved requisitions. Prepare and process material transfer requests. Ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites. Coordinate with project managers and site supervisors regarding material requirements. Record Keeping and Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all inventory transactions. Generate inventory reports as required. File and organize all relevant documentation (purchase orders, delivery receipts, stock cards, etc.). Safety and Maintenance: Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures. Ensure proper handling and storage of hazardous materials (if applicable). Maintain and service storage equipment (e.g., forklifts, shelving). Report any damages or unsafe conditions. Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with vendors for material deliveries. Report any vendor related issues. Qualifications: 5 years of experience as a Store Keeper, preferably in a construction or contracting environment. Proven experience in inventory management and control. Proficiency in using inventory management software/systems. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. ? Good communication and interpersonal skills. Basic computer skills (MS Office Suite). ?
