environment. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate stock levels, proper storage of food items, and compliance with hygiene and safety standards.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Storekeeper is responsible for inventory management, stock control, and maintenance.
Maintain accurate and detailed stock records of all stock movements both in and out of the warehouse using inventory system or software.
Ensure all food items are stored according to food safety standards (Temperature control, labeling).
Conducts periodic audits of the inventory, such as physical counting, verification, quality checks, and organizing to identify areas of improvement.
Performs stock rotation to ensure utilization of goods and minimize wastage and/or near-expiry products.
Coordinate with procurement and/or concerned department for stock availability and reporting.
Responsible for forecasting demand and ensuring adequate inventory levels.
Inspecting the items for any defects and ensuring proper documentation of the items received.
Handling the process of returns or exchanges by checking the return policies, verifying the condition of items and arranging for the return items or orders.
Organizing shelves and displays inside the warehouse and/or stock room.
Moving items from the warehouse to the store whenever necessary.
Other tasks assigned by the owner and/or immediate supervisor.
Requirements:
Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
Knowledge of food storage and hygiene standards.
A high school qualification or equivalent.
Previous experience as a store keeper in the F&B or hospitality industry.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Basic computer skills; experience with inventory management systems is a plus.
