About the Job: Your key responsibilities will include: Maintain equipment stocks for outlets and sets up procedures for the effective tracking, monitoring and return of requisitions as well as ensuring that adequate stocks are in place to serve business needs. Provide training to team members on processes, procedures, customer service methods and other required training to uphold quality, safety and execute the departmental objectives as identified. Manage the day to day operations of the Stewarding Department ensuring that all standard operating procedures are followed by providing guidance, encouraging teamwork and facilitating related professional work processes in order to achieve high performance standards and liaise with internal and external parties at the appropriate levels to ensure smooth flow of operations. Adhere to all relevant Health, Safety and Environment management procedures and controls within a defined area of activity so that Jumeirah Group provides world class and luxurious hospitality services to its guests. Direct the inventory of fixed assets in the stewarding storerooms on a periodic basis to maintain optimum inventory levels to serve all F&B outlets as required. Ensure that all equipment and assigned work areas are cleaned and maintained according to hotel standards and municipality rules for the safe usage by the relevant department. Ensure the neatness, cleanliness and order of all kitchens, back of house areas, storage areas, employee dining area, compactor area through constant monitoring and a vigorous cleaning schedule. Maintain controls against waste. Assure proper sanitation and hygiene techniques as well as the movement of garbage throughout the hotel. Set up and maintain inventories. Maintain all kitchen equipment and dish machines in proper working order. Control usage of cleaning supplies and maintain hand washing facilities in kitchens. Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and forecast for the department. Work closely with the Executive Chef, Director of F&B, Director of Banquets and Banquet Chef to coordinate banquet activities. Coordinate with the engineering department for the maintenance and repair of kitchen equipment. Select, train and schedule all Stewarding department employees. Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management. About you: In order to be considered for this role, you should have a minimum of 5 years' relevant experience within the international hospitality industry, 3 years of which in managerial position. You should possess a College Degree in Hospitality or Culinary Institute as well as undergone advanced food and hygiene training. It is essential that you have excellent communication skills in written and spoken English, and knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word and Excel).
