Position Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and reliable Steward to join our team at MADO Restaurant. The Steward plays a crucial role in supporting our kitchen and service teams by ensuring cleanliness, organization, and efficiency. This position is vital to maintaining a safe and hygienic environment for both our staff and guests.

Key Responsibilities:

Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment, utensils, dishes, and dining areas to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Assist in the proper storage and organization of kitchen supplies, including food storage and cleaning products. Ensure that all kitchen and dining areas are kept tidy and free of clutter throughout the shift. Support the kitchen team by maintaining clean and orderly food preparation areas. Transport clean dishes, glasses, and utensils to the appropriate areas for service. Assist with the setup and breakdown of kitchen and dining spaces for daily service. Properly dispose of waste and ensure recycling practices are followed. Help with inventory control by notifying the supervisor of stock shortages or damaged items. Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Provide assistance to the service team during busy times, as required.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. A positive attitude with excellent communication skills. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required. Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and carrying dishes.
