Job Summary:

The Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, dishwashing area, and service areas. The role ensures that all kitchen utensils, equipment, and working areas are cleaned, sanitized, and ready for use, supporting smooth kitchen operations and food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment, utensils, and dishes after each use. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, walls, and surfaces at all times. Ensure garbage is properly segregated and disposed of in designated areas. Assist chefs and kitchen staff with basic tasks like fetching ingredients or organizing storage areas. Operate dishwashing machines and handle cleaning chemicals safely and efficiently. Follow all food safety and hygiene standards as per company policies. Ensure proper storage and arrangement of all cleaned equipment and crockery. Report any maintenance or repair issues to the supervisor immediately. Support kitchen and service staff during busy hours as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Prior experience in stewarding or housekeeping in hospitality is an advantage. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and sanitation procedures. Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-temperature environment. Strong attention to detail and hygiene. Physically fit and able to stand for long periods. * Team player with a positive attitude and good communication skills
