Steward
Job Description
We are seeking a reliable Steward / Cleaner to maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation standards in our restaurant. The role includes cleaning kitchen areas, utensils, dining spaces, and ensuring a safe, tidy, and pleasant environment for both guests and staff.
Responsibilities
Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, pots, pans, and dishes.
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, pantry, storage, and dining areas.
Dispose of waste properly and follow recycling procedures.
Sweep, mop, and wash floors in kitchen and service areas.
Assist chefs by ensuring clean workstations and ready equipment.
Refill cleaning supplies and report shortages or damages.
Adhere to hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards (HACCP or local guidelines).
Support other housekeeping or stewarding tasks as directed by supervisors.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Steward, Cleaner, or in a similar role (preferred, not mandatory).
Understanding of hygiene and food safety practices.
Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties (lifting, bending, standing for long hours).
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Team player with a positive attitude.
Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays
