Job Description

Performs all washing and cleaning duties required in the kitchen, and assists with inventory control, disposing trash, cleaning trash cans, clearing refrigerators/freezers/storage rooms.

Responsibilities

? Properly clean and sanitise all food preparation areas according to hygiene standards.

? Wash and appropriately store all cooking appliances, instruments, pots, pans, utensils, cutting boards, and dishes.

? Assist Chefs with mise en place including washing, cleaning, peeling, cutting, and chopping and preparing fruit, vegetables, and other ingredients.

? Sweep and mop kitchen floors and wipe down kitchen walls, and clean store premises and washrooms at regular intervals.

? Ensure the kitchen is clean, well maintained and organised at all times.

? Ensure floors are dry and clean at all times.

? Assist Chefs and Hosts/Hostesses as and when required.

? Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies.

? Assist with unloading, organising and storage of delivered food supplies.

? Promptly and safely transfer meal ingredients from storage areas to the kitchen as per Chef's instructions.

? Report any maintenance issues or hazards to the Head Chef.

? Carry out any other relevant duties as assigned.

Qualifications

? Proven experience assisting in kitchens.

? Sound knowledge of food health and safety regulations.

? Physically able to stand for long periods of time.

? Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

? Team player.

? Excellent organisation and time management skills.

? Adequate communication skills.

Pay: AED1,800.00 per month
