Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, countertops, and floors.
Maintain cleanliness in all kitchen and dining areas, including waste disposal.
Kitchen Maintenance:
Ensure that kitchen equipment and tools are in good working condition and report any malfunctions or damage.
Assist in the organization and storage of kitchen supplies and equipment.
Follow cleaning schedules and checklists to maintain high hygiene standards.
Food Preparation Assistance:
Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, and mixing ingredients.
Assist with the preparation of mise en place (ingredients and tools) as directed by chefs.
Health and Safety:
Adhere to all health and safety regulations and guidelines, including proper handling and storage of chemicals and cleaning supplies.
Ensure that all cleaning activities are performed in accordance with hygiene standards.
Waste Management:
Handle and dispose of kitchen waste and recyclables properly.
Ensure that waste areas are kept clean and organized.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure that their needs for clean and functional equipment are met.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks.
Inventory and Supplies:
Assist in managing cleaning supplies and equipment inventory.
Report any shortages or needs for replenishment to the supervisor.
