Steel Supervisor

We are a furniture manufacturing company in Dubai seeking a skilled and experienced Steel Supervisor to oversee and manage steel fabrication and production activities. The ideal candidate should have strong practical knowledge in steel works, hands-on experience in fabrication processes, and the ability to work with AutoCAD to prepare accurate laser cutting files.

Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage all steel fabrication processes, ensuring high-quality output and timely completion of work. Review project drawings and work closely with the design team to understand requirements and prepare precise laser cutting files using AutoCAD. Plan, allocate, and monitor daily tasks for the steel fabrication team to meet production targets. Oversee cutting, bending, welding, and finishing operations as per project specifications. Ensure proper handling, storage, and tracking of steel materials and consumables. Inspect raw materials, in-process items, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality, accuracy, and design standards. Coordinate with production, design, and project teams to support smooth workflow and achieve project timelines. Troubleshoot fabrication issues and implement effective solutions to reduce downtime and improve productivity. Maintain adherence to workplace safety standards and ensure safe operations of machines and tools. Train, guide, and support team members to enhance their skills and operational efficiency.

Job Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of experience in steel fabrication or a similar supervisory role. Strong practical knowledge of steel fabrication processes, including cutting, welding, bending, and assembly. Proficiency in AutoCAD with the ability to read drawings and prepare accurate laser cutting files. Good understanding of steel materials, grades, thicknesses, and their suitable applications. Ability to lead and supervise a team effectively. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results. Basic knowledge of MS Office for documentation and reporting. Good communication skills and the ability to coordinate with various departments.
