Job Duties:

Read and interpret engineering blueprints, drawings, and specifications to fabricate steel components accurately.
Cut, shape, weld, and assemble steel pieces using various tools and equipment such as cutting torches, welding machines, grinders, and drills.
Handle raw materials including steel beams, plates, and tubes, ensuring proper selection, storage, and transportation within the fabrication shop.
Perform welding tasks using MIG, TIG, and ARC welding techniques to join steel components securely and in compliance with welding codes and standards.
Conduct quality inspections of fabricated steel components to ensure accuracy, precision, and adherence to specifications.
Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment.
Collaborate effectively with team members, supervisors, and project managers to meet project deadlines and requirements.
Maintain fabrication equipment by performing routine inspections, conducting minor repairs, and reporting maintenance issues as needed.

Qualifications and Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in welding or metal fabrication preferred.
Proven experience as a steel structure fabricator or similar role in the construction industry.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
Strong welding skills with experience in MIG, TIG, and ARC welding techniques.
Knowledge of metalworking tools and equipment such as cutting torches, grinders, and drills.
Attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of quality and precision.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Commitment to safety and adherence to safety guidelines and protocols.
Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new fabrication techniques and technologies.
