We are hiring an experienced and reliable
Steel Fixer
for construction projects in Sharjah. The Steel Fixer will be responsible for preparing, assembling, and installing steel reinforcement for concrete structures according to project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Read and interpret construction drawings and bar bending schedules (BBS).
Measure, cut, bend, and shape steel bars using hand tools and machinery.
Tie reinforcement bars using appropriate tying wire and techniques.
Assemble reinforcement cages for beams, columns, slabs, and foundations.
Ensure correct alignment, spacing, and placement of steel reinforcement.
Secure steel mesh and reinforcement prior to concrete pouring.
Follow site safety regulations and wear required PPE at all times.
Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and fellow workers to meet project deadlines.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Steel Fixer (GCC experience preferred).
Ability to read drawings/BBS and use measurement tools.
Strong knowledge of rebar types, tying methods, and safety practices.
Physically fit and able to work long hours in site conditions.
Team player with good communication and discipline.
Working Conditions
Outdoor construction site work.
Duty hours as per company schedule; overtime may be required.
