is responsible for preparing, positioning, and securing steel reinforcement for concrete structures in luxury villa renovation projects. The role demands precision, speed, and strict adherence to UAE building codes and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Interpret structural drawings and bar bending schedules (BBS) for accurate steel placement.
Cut, bend, and fix steel bars and mesh using manual and mechanical tools.
Assemble reinforcement for foundations, slabs, columns, beams, and retaining walls.
Ensure correct spacing, cover, and anchorage before concrete pouring.
Collaborate with formwork carpenters and concrete teams to maintain alignment and stability.
Conduct quality checks and report discrepancies to the site engineer.
Maintain tools and ensure safe working practices on-site.
Qualifications & Skills
Trade certificate or diploma in Civil Works or Steel Fixing.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in steel fixing (UAE villa or residential experience preferred).
Proficient in reading structural drawings and BBS.
Skilled in using cutting machines, bending tools, and tying wire.
Familiarity with Dubai Municipality and Trakhees structural standards.
Physically fit and able to work in outdoor conditions.
Basic English communication; Hindi or Urdu is a plus.
