Exciting Opportunity - Steel Fixer - Road and Bridge Construction Job duties and responsibilities \xc2\xb7 Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering plans and drawings. \xc2\xb7 Capable of setting out work areas and determining the required materials. \xc2\xb7 Experienced in using hand and power tools to cut and bend steel bars and mesh and skilled in laying out steel bars, mesh, rods, and framework. \xc2\xb7 Skilled in hoisting steel bars, mesh, and reinforcements into place. \xc2\xb7 Capable of fitting spacers and supporters to building structures when required. \xc2\xb7 Joining steel reinforcement bars (rebar), footings, and girders by welding or with clips or wires. \xc2\xb7 Fixing steel bars and mesh to solid concrete bases. \xc2\xb7 Using rebar to build casts that will keep setting concrete in place. \xc2\xb7 Preparing concrete, mixing sand, cement, and water, and pouring the concrete into the prepared casts. Job qualifications/requirements \xc2\xb7 2 \xe2\x80\x93 2 \xc2\xbd years of proven experience working as a steel fixer in any GCC country. \xc2\xb7 Preferably candidates with experience working in Road and Bridge construction. \xc2\xb7 Vocational certificate or professional qualification in any related field to steel fixing. \xc2\xb7 Proficient in being able to read and follow technical plans and drawings and work outdoors in all weather conditions. \xc2\xb7 Good physical fitness.
