Read and follow structural drawings and bar bending schedules (BBS)
Cut, bend, and fix steel rebars for slabs, beams, columns, and foundations
Tie steel using wire, pliers, and other tools
Place spacers and supports to maintain proper positioning of steel
Work with carpenters and concrete workers to align steel within formwork
Ensure all reinforcement is installed correctly before concreting
Maintain safety and cleanliness on site
Follow instructions from supervisors and engineers
Skills:
Bar cutting, bending, and fixing
Reading construction drawings and BBS
Tying steel using hand tools (wire, pliers, etc.)
Understanding of cover blocks and steel spacing
Ability to work in hot, fast-paced environments
Teamwork and communication
Knowledge of site safety procedures
