Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Steel Fixer to join our dynamic construction team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. As a Steel Fixer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the structural integrity of our construction projects by accurately placing and securing steel reinforcements.

Read and interpret building plans, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine steel reinforcement requirements Set out work areas and calculate material needs for each project Cut, bend, and shape steel bars and mesh using hand and power tools Position and secure steel bars, mesh, and other reinforcement materials in concrete forms Tie and weld reinforcing bars to create sturdy frameworks for concrete Structures Install spacers and supports to maintain proper positioning of reinforcements Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure proper integration of steel reinforcements with other building components Adhere to all safety regulations and maintain a safe work environment Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and project specifications Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition

Qualification

Minimum of

2-5 years

of experience as a Steel Fixer Proficiency in reading and interpreting building plans and technical drawings Expertise in using hand and power tools for cutting, bending, and shaping steel In-depth knowledge of various types of steel reinforcements and their applications Welding skills and familiarity with different welding techniques Strong understanding of construction safety regulations and practices Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy materials Comfort working at heights and in various weather conditions Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Strong teamwork and communication skills Ability to work efficiently and meet project deadlines Familiarity with local building codes and standards in UAE Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
