Static Pump Operator
Job Title: Static Pump Operator
Reports To: Dispatch Manager / Pump Manager
Summary: The Static Pump Operator is responsible for operating a stationary (static) concrete pump, which is typically towed to a job site by a truck and requires separate setup. These pumps are used with long pipelines to reach places boom pumps cannot access.
Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the transportation, setup, and positioning of the static pump and all associated pipeline.
• Connect and secure pipeline sections from the pump to the point of placement, ensuring all couplings are secure and lines are supported.
• Perform thorough pre-operational checks on the pump's hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
• Operate the pump's controls to push concrete through the pipeline system.
• Monitor pump pressure constantly and communicate with mixer drivers to coordinate the flow of concrete.
• Troubleshoot and clear line blockages safely and efficiently.
• Dismantle, clean, and inspect all pipeline and the pump after each job.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on the pump unit.
• Lead a crew of helpers in the setup, operation, and cleanup process.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Experience operating and maintaining static concrete pumps is essential.
• Extensive knowledge of pipeline systems, couplings, and placement techniques.
• Strong mechanical and hydraulic troubleshooting skills, especially for clearing blockages.
• Ability to manage and direct a crew of helpers.
• Physical strength and stamina to handle heavy pipeline sections.
• CDL may be required if the operator is also responsible for towing the pump trailer.
