VAM Systems is currently looking for SSI - Jira Functional Expert for our UAE operations with the following skillsets & terms and conditions:

Qualifications, experience, skills and competencies

• Qualifications: Bachelor\'s Degree in Computer Science or relevant Experience
• Experience: 8-12 Years of IT experience with minimum 3 to 4 years hands-on experience working with Atlassian Jira and creating advanced queries using JQL

Skills:

• Atlassian Knowledge: Expert in Jira/Confluence Filters/Reports and Dashboards
• Reporting Tools and Data Analysis: Expert in Advance reporting tools like SQL+JQL,EazyBI,Power Query
• Telecom Domain: Understand the Telecom related application stack and telecom Jargon to have a fruitful discussion with the stakeholders involved
• Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to extract insights from data and translate them into actionable recommendations. Problem-solving mindset with a keen eye for detail and accuracy
• Data Analysis: Skilled at analyzing telecom data using
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate with cross-functional teams effectively.

Job purpose

A skilled Atlassian Jira Expert with extensive experience in creating advanced queries, utilizing Jira Query Language (JQL), generating EasyBI reports, and designing comprehensive dashboards. The ideal candidate will be a technical and analytical individual who can translate business needs into actionable insights through data-driven reporting and visualization techniques.

Accountabilities

• Understand the purpose of Reporting and to identify the best possible way to extract data and build insightful reports
• Building Jira Filters and Dashboards as and when required and Maintaining the filter dictionary in confluence
• Create necessary filters, queries and reports to track and maintain jira hygiene and follow up with the right stakeholders for correction and timely escalations, as required
• Creation of Advanced reporting, leveraging Jira API,SQL+JQL, MS Power Query to design complex queries and filters that retrieve specific data sets
• Leverage EasyBI to design, develop, and maintain custom reports and visualizations
• Create insightful reports that showcase key performance indicators (KPIs), trends, and project statuses
• Collaborate with teams to understand their requirements and refine queries for accurate data extraction.
• Build interactive and visually appealing dashboards using Atlassian tools, particularly Jira and EasyBI
• Integrate relevant metrics, charts, and graphs to provide a comprehensive view of project and team performance
• Provide insights that aid decision-making and facilitate process improvements
• Analyze and interpret data to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies
• Maintaining the Jira Hygiene for all releases and IDE to ensure all the stakeholders are following the agreed Jira Ways of Working and to ensure data accuracy
• Track the Jira issues on daily basis and follow up with respective stakeholders for the progress in status
• Ensure all jiraartifacts follow the defined structure, hierarchy and linking and reflects the correct statuses at all times
• Stay updated with the latest Jira, EasyBI, and reporting best practices
• Collaborate with teams to define reporting requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives
• Train team members on utilizing JQL, EasyBI, and dashboards effectively
• Proactively suggest improvements to reporting processes, data quality, and visualization techniques
