Main purpose of the role:
- Compliance of the Unilever Occupational Health, Environment & Safety Framework Standards.
- Compliance of the Unilever’s Safe Travel Policies & Procedures.
- Compliance of Security Protocols as enlisted in Unilever’ Security Guidelines documents.
- Coordinate with Gulf Environmental Coordinator to implement & sustain Zero Waste to Landfill Programme.
Main accountabilities:
General SHE
- Emergency Planning & Preparedness on site. Training of Emergency Response Team, Fire Fighters, First Aiders, Conducting the Mock Drills to test the preparedness.
- Site’s readiness & compliance for the Fire Fighting systems and First Aid Facilities.
- Risk Assessment of all routine and non-routine activities (tasks, equipments, locations) at site.
- Leading the BESAFE (Behavioral Safety excellence Programme) for CD and logistics Employees.
- Implementing the Safe Travel Requirements (Defensive Driving, FDRI Evaluations, Vehicle Safety Inspections, Journey Management etc) esp. for UHD Employees having company cars or travelling on business.
- Capability Building of Employees & Contractor in Safety: Safety Induction of All new joiners.
- Implementation of the Safe Travel Disciplinary matrix & Reward Policies for the site through RTA & CCTV records.
- Engaging Leadership & Departmental Managers in the monthly safety planned inspections & Deep Compliance Audits.
- Engaging Leadership & Departmental Managers in the monthly safety engagements sessions.
- Contractor Safety Management (Induction, Onsite Monitoring, Permit to Work). Scope covers the whole site
- Incident (Accidents & Near misses) Reporting & Investigations
- Compliance with the Legal / JAFZA EHS regulations
- Continuous Improvement in Site Safety & Security Controls through specific projects.
- Ensure all Offsite Events are risk assessed.
- UAE warehouse inspections and audits
- Training programs for CD and logistics team
- Leading 3PL safety & security program in UAE
- Merchandiser safety program across UAE
- Recording & Reporting of Monthly SHE Performance / KPIs on respective tools / excel lists.
- Security
- Supervision of Security Controls (Security Guards, Access Control Hardware & Software, GPAS System, Visitors Management System) & drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure smooth and trouble-free CCTV system operation & maintenance.

Experience Required:
ESSENTIAL
- Degree holder – preference engineering. Working knowledge of “Safety”.
- 2-3 years experience within SHE roles or project/maintenance management.
- Preferably FMCG experience
- Knowledge of Safe Travel
- Must have excellent communication skills
PREFERRED
- Have obtained formal safety trainings – like Permit to Work, Risk Assessment, OHSAS 18001.
- Professional Safety Certification NEBOSH or IOSH
