Job Title: Sr. Technical Office Manager

Location: Cairo, Egypt

Reporting to: Technical Office Director

Job Purpose:

Drive the strategic leadership and oversight of all electrical and mechanical design functions within the Technical Office. Ensure technical excellence, process standardization, and alignment with organizational goals for transformer product development. The Technical Office Senior Manager leads cross-functional collaboration, fosters innovation, and implements best practices to enhance design quality, reduce costs, and accelerate time-to-market--positioning the company for sustained competitiveness and growth.

Key Responsibilities

Define and execute the overall design strategy for electrical and mechanical disciplines, aligned with business goals and innovation priorities. Drive adoption of advanced design technologies and tools, including automation, AI/ML, and digital twins, across all design functions. Lead design governance to ensure compliance with international standards, quality, and sustainability objectives. Collaborate with R&D and executive leadership to guide product development and integrate new technologies. Oversee design standardization and optimization efforts to enhance efficiency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness across electrical and mechanical designs. Manage project prioritization, resource allocation, and timely delivery of high-quality design outputs. Monitor key performance indicators and drive continuous improvements in design processes. Lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing, multidisciplinary team of engineers and technical specialists. Serve as the primary interface for key internal and external stakeholders on all design matters. Oversee risk management related to technical liabilities, intellectual property, and design quality

Qualification & Education:

Education: Bachelor Degree of Engineering Years of Experience: 12-15 years of experience, including 5+ years in leadership roles Language: English Computer skills: Microsoft office, AutoCAD 2D

Technical competencies:

Advanced knowledge of transformer design, power systems engineering, and digital design tools. Strategic thinking and ability to connect design execution with business outcomes. Strong project and portfolio management skills. Change management and transformation leadership. Innovation management and R&D collaboration. Financial literacy in terms of design cost structures and product pricing.
