Sr. System Administrator
Job Description
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or Information Technology
- 8+ years of experience in system administration, network management, and IT infrastructure.
- Expertise in Active Directory, VMware, Hyper-V, AWS, and Microsoft Azure.
- Knowledge of firewalls, network security, VPNs, and IDS/IPS systems.
- Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator | VMware Certified Professional | Cisco Certified Network Associate | ITIL
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, storage, and networking equipment.
- Ensure optimal performance, stability, and security of physical/virtual systems.
- Perform updates, patching, upgrades, and monitor network performance (LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls, wireless).
- Implement and maintain security protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, access controls, and conduct audits.
- Manage backups, disaster recovery, and data security.
- Provide end-user support, track helpdesk requests, and serve as escalation point for complex issues.
- Lead IT projects (upgrades, migrations, deployments) and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Maintain documentation of systems, configurations, and procedures.
- Manage vendor relationships and recommend technologies aligned with business needs.
