Job Description

Roles and responsibilities:

Lead the structural design and analysis of buildings and infrastructure projects. Perform load calculations and structural modeling using tools such as ETABS, STAAD Pro, and SAP2000. Ensure compliance with local and international codes (e.g., ACI, AISC). Review and approve structural drawings, material specifications, and design reports. Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders. Prepare project timelines, design schedules, and cost estimates for structural works. Supervise junior engineers and CAD technicians. Provide technical guidance during construction phases. Conduct site visits to inspect and ensure work aligns with design specifications. Resolve on-site structural challenges and recommend necessary design modifications. Oversee structural quality assurance and control procedures. Ensure safety regulations and engineering standards are upheld. Prepare detailed design documentation and calculation reports. Liaise with clients to understand project goals and expectations. Present structural design concepts and updates to clients and internal teams. Participate in design review meetings and technical discussions.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. 8+ years of experience in structural engineering in the construction industry. Proficiency in structural analysis and modeling software (e.g., ETABS, STAAD, SAP2000, Revit, AutoCAD). Strong knowledge of international design codes and construction practices. Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
