We are seeking a highly organized and technically strong
Senior Project Engineer
to manage and support project execution activities from the office. This role is ideal for an engineer experienced in coordinating, planning, and managing project documentation without the requirement for regular site-based work. The candidate will play a central role in ensuring project schedules, documentation, procurement, and technical deliverables are aligned and completed efficiently.
Prepare and manage detailed project execution plans, schedules, and timelines.
Monitor project progress and update internal stakeholders on milestones, delays, and resource requirements.
Coordinate with internal teams (Design, Procurement, Production, Quality, Logistics) to ensure timely execution.
2. Engineering Documentation
Review and compile project-related documents including P&IDs, GA drawings, datasheets, BOQs, and technical submittals.
Prepare method statements, technical clarifications, project reports, and compliance documents.
Maintain organized project files, approvals, correspondence, and version-controlled documents.
3. Vendor & Procurement Support
Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely sourcing of equipment and materials.
Review vendor quotations for technical compliance and raise queries when needed.
Assist in preparing purchase requests, equipment specifications, and vendor documentation reviews.
Handle client and consultant communication for approvals, documentation, and technical submissions.
Support project managers in preparing meeting minutes, action lists, and follow-up schedules.
Attend virtual or office-based client meetings as required.
5. Quality, Testing & Handover Support
Ensure all project deliverables follow company and client quality standards.
Prepare inspection requests, checklists, FAT documents, and QA/QC forms in coordination with the quality team.
Compile project handover documents, O&M manuals, as-built drawings, and warranty documentation.
6. Internal Reporting
Provide daily/weekly progress updates to management.
Track project KPIs related to timelines, procurement status, documentation, cost deviations, and delivery schedules.
Highlight risks, delays, or resource requirements proactively to the project manager.
Required Qualifications & SkillsEducation
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering.
Experience
4-8 years of experience in water & wastewater treatment projects.
Must have strong experience in
office-based project engineering roles
.
Experience in small to medium enterprise (SME) environments preferred.
Technical Skills
Good understanding of WTP, STP, ETP, RO, UF, and general treatment processes.
Ability to read and interpret drawings, P&IDs, vendor manuals, and specifications.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Project).
Knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage (review-level capability is sufficient).
