Key Responsibilities:
To lead and execute strategic projects that enhance plant operations, process efficiency, and product quality through advanced process engineering, technology integration, and cross-functional collaboration. This role focuses on optimizing manufacturing processes, troubleshooting operational challenges, and driving continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and industry standards.
Process Optimization & Plant Performance
Analyze, design, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and sustainability in manufacturing.
Monitor KPIs and troubleshoot operational bottlenecks to improve plant uptime and reduce waste.
Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and Industry 4.0 methodologies to optimize workflows and reduce variability.
Continuous Improvement
Risk assessments conducted on existing equipment/process/facility modifications
Risk assessments for new facilities
Capital Projects
Lead capital and process improvement projects from concept to implementation, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
Develop feasibility studies and cost estimation.
Coordinate with engineering, production, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure seamless project execution.
Manage vendor relationships and oversee the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
Manufacturing Support
Investigate all process & quality problems and implement corrective actions
Provide technical input to any proposed process/engineering change by conducting a thorough impact analysis
Technical support with regards to RFQs, considering manufacturing feasibility, accurate costing, and meeting customer requirements with quick turnaround time.
Ensure that the manufacturing documentation aligns with process design intent at all times
Process Safety Management
Facilitate HAZOP studies and process risk assessments
Relevant case study presentations to peers and manufacturing teams
Process safety considerations in process design, equipment specification and control philosophy
Experience and Education:
Engineering degree
At least 5 years' process engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
Certifications in Lean Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt), PMP (Project Management Professional)
Technical Competencies:
Analytical thinker with good reasoning and problem-solving skills on multi-disciplinary projects.
Proactive, investigative with tenacity & initiative
Planning and prioritization of multiple tasks, organizational and administrative skills.
Proficient computer skills - 3D parametric design package, preferably Solid Edge, MS Office, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, MS Project
