About the Role:
As a Senior Principal Manufacturing Engineer, you will take a lead role in shaping the industrialization of manufacturing processes for high-performance UAV systems. You'll collaborate across engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure ADASI's advanced autonomous systems are built to the highest standards-from concept to flight-ready deployment. This role is ideal for a manufacturing leader who thrives in a complex, multi-disciplinary environment and is ready to influence strategic decision-making and continuous improvement on a national scale.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the development and implementation of manufacturing processes for UAVs, from estimation to production readiness.
Drive design-for-manufacturing (DFM) within product development teams to ensure scalable, cost-effective manufacturing.
Estimate non-recurring costs including tooling, process design, and manpower; support capacity planning for facilities and suppliers.
Oversee and approve technical documentation, including routings, BOMs, work instructions, and SOPs, ensuring compliance with QMS standards.
Champion lean principles (Kaizen, 5S, PFMEA, GD&T, root cause analysis) to optimize efficiency and reduce production waste.
Mentor and train engineers across manufacturing disciplines.
Collaborate with suppliers to qualify and develop manufacturing capabilities for UAV components.
Identify, assess, and mitigate manufacturing risks and support MRB teams in resolving discrepancies.
Specify and qualify tooling and equipment needed for UAV production.
Lead cross-functional Integrated Project Teams (IPTs) to resolve manufacturing challenges and implement improvements.

What You'll Bring

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
15+ years of manufacturing engineering experience-preferably in the aerospace or UAV industry.
Proven expertise in composite manufacturing, assembly, integration, and testing.
Proficiency with CATIA and working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred).
Deep understanding of AS9100, ISO 9001, lean manufacturing, and quality tools.
Strong background in PFMEA, GD&T, and continuous improvement frameworks.
Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work under pressure, across office and factory environments, and travel as required.
