Job Summary:

We are looking for a

Senior Node.js Developer

with strong backend development expertise to join our growing team in

Abu Dhabi

. The ideal candidate will have in-depth experience with

Node.js

,

TypeScript

, and a strong background working with distributed systems and real-time applications using

Cassandra

,

Redis

,

Kafka

, and

WebSockets (Socket.io)

.This is a critical role for someone who can design, build, and optimize scalable backend systems and APIs that power mission-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable server-side applications using

Node.js

and

TypeScript

Integrate with

Cassandra

for distributed data handling and ensure high availability and resilience Implement

Kafka

for real-time event streaming and data pipelines Utilize

Redis

for caching, message queuing, and performance enhancements Build and maintain real-time communication features using

Socket.io/WebSockets

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including front-end, DevOps, and QA for end-to-end delivery Write clean, maintainable, and testable code Optimize backend performance and troubleshoot production issues Ensure application security, performance, and scalability Participate in design reviews, architecture discussions, and code reviews

Technical Skills Required:

7+ years of hands-on experience with

Node.js

Strong proficiency in

TypeScript

Expertise in

Cassandra

and working with NoSQL data models Hands-on experience with

Redis

for caching and messaging Practical knowledge of

Apache Kafka

for stream processing and distributed messaging Solid experience in implementing

WebSocket/Socket.io

for real-time data exchange Understanding of microservices architecture and containerization (Docker) Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems like Git Knowledge of RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming

Nice to Have:

Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure Experience with GraphQL or gRPC Knowledge of monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
