Sr. Mechanical Engineer (Plumbing & Fire Fighting)
Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer - Plumbing & Fire Protection
Reports To: Mechanical Manager / Project Director
Job Summary:
We are looking for a seasoned Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and execution of plumbing, drainage, and fire protection systems for large-scale building projects. You will be the technical authority, ensuring systems are designed for efficiency, reliability, and full compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and engineering of complex plumbing, sanitary, drainage, and fire fighting (wet & dry) systems.
• Perform hydraulic calculations, pipe sizing, pump selection, and system modeling.
• Prepare detailed design reports, specifications, tender documents, and BOQs.
• Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements from contractors.
• Provide expert technical guidance and support to the project and site teams.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor installation quality, progress, and compliance with design documents.
• Coordinate closely with clients, consultants, and authorities for design approvals and NOCs.
• Stay current with NFPA, UPC, IPC, and other local and international codes.

Qualifications & Experience:

• A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• A minimum of 7 years of dedicated experience in designing and implementing plumbing and fire fighting systems for buildings.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license or Chartered Engineer status is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and hydraulic calculation tools.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant codes and standards.
