Sr. Installer Specialist (foc) Fiber Optic

Job Description
:
oInstall, splice, terminate, and test fiber optic cables (single-mode and multi-mode).
oPerform OTDR testing, power meter testing, and visual fault locating.
oInterpret fiber optic schematics, network layouts, and installation blueprints.
oMaintain and troubleshoot fiber optic networks and infrastructure.
oEnsure compliance with industry standards and safety protocols.
oDocument installation and maintenance activities accurately.
oCollaborate with project managers and other technicians to ensure timely delivery of services.
Qualifications & Skills:
3-Year Diploma in Electronics & Communication Engineering
oBICSI Installer 2, Optical Fiber (INSTF)
oTraining certifications from Corning, Nexans, Commscope, or Panduit/ OEM
oValid Qatar Driving License (preferred)
oStrong understanding of fiber optic standards and best practices
oAbility to work independently and in a team environment
oGood communication and documentation skills
Experience:
oMinimum 5 years of relevant experience in the GCC region in fiber optic installation and maintenance.
ostructured cabling systems and data center environments
oExperience with fiber optic tools and equipment
oKnowledge of safety procedures and quality assurance standards
