We are an established engineering consultancy urgently seeking a highly experienced
Senior Structural/Civil Engineer
to join our dynamic team on a significant project. This is a critical role requiring immediate commitment and a proven track record of success in complex building projects.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage structural and civil engineering aspects of assigned projects, ensuring adherence to design codes, standards, and client specifications.
Develop, review, and approve structural and civil designs, calculations, drawings, and specifications for various building typologies.
Oversee the implementation of BIM (Building Information Modeling) processes and deliverables, specifically adhering to the PWA's Exchange Information Requirements (EIR).
Collaborate effectively with architects, multidisciplinary engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure seamless project execution.
Conduct site visits, inspections, and technical assessments as required.
Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and project updates to stakeholders.
Mentor and guide junior engineering staff.
Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Civil Engineering
or a closely related field from a recognized institution.
Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience
in structural and civil engineering, with a strong focus on building projects.
UPDA Grade A license
is mandatory.
Mandatory BIM Capability:
Demonstrated proficiency and hands-on experience with BIM software and workflows, specifically in alignment with
EIR-PWA (Public Works Authority)
requirements.
Consultant Experience:
Proven experience working for engineering consultancies.
Buildings Experience:
Extensive experience in the design and supervision of a variety of building types.
Previous Approval from PWA:
Experience and familiarity with obtaining approvals from the Public Works Authority (PWA) is highly preferable.
