Sr. Accountant

Job Description
We are urgently hiring a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team at a reputed steel manufacturing company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations, preparing accurate reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting activities and ensure accuracy in financial transactions
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and forecasts
- Maintain general ledger and ensure timely closing of accounts
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and tax-related matters
- Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow and budgeting
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and financial regulations
- Liaise with auditors and coordinate external audits
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to management for decision-making
- Support the implementation of accounting systems and process improvements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CA/CPA preferred)
- Minimum 8-10 years of accounting experience in the manufacturing industry
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and UAE VAT
- Proficient in ERP systems and MS Excel
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
