Job Title:

Wooden Work Painter

Job Purpose:

To carry out painting, polishing, staining, and finishing works on wooden surfaces such as doors, cabinets, wardrobes, panels, and other joinery items, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet project specifications and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare wooden surfaces for painting or polishing by sanding, cleaning, filling cracks, and applying primers or base coats. Mix, match, and apply paints, stains, varnishes, sealers, and lacquers according to required finish. Use brushes, rollers, and spray equipment for application as per work requirements. Ensure proper masking and protection of non-painted areas before starting work. Inspect surfaces to ensure smoothness and uniform finish. Repair and touch up wooden surfaces where necessary. Maintain tools, brushes, spray guns, and other painting equipment in good condition. Follow safety procedures in handling paints, thinners, and other chemicals. Coordinate with carpenters and supervisors to ensure timely completion of finishing works. Keep the work area clean and dispose of waste materials responsibly.

Qualifications:

At least [High School graduate / Technical training preferred]. Proven experience as a painter, polisher, or finisher in wooden works. Knowledge of different types of paints, stains, and finishing materials. Familiarity with surface preparation techniques. Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks. Knowledge of safety standards in handling chemicals and finishes.

Skills & Competencies:

Attention to detail and eye for color matching and smooth finishing. Skilled in hand and spray painting techniques. Good communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Reliability and time management.
