Liaising with teachers, family members, and other healthcare professionals
Administering therapy and monitoring progress
Ensuring patients and their families are informed of new treatments and therapy techniques
Evaluating and diagnosing speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders
Providing training and education to family/caregivers and other professionals
Working collaboratively with professionals from many other disciplines
Conducting screenings to assess a client's speech and swallowing challenges
Providing rehabilitation or communication strategies for those who are deaf or hard of hearing.
