We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Therapist to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing functions.
Develop personalised treatment plans based on individual needs and goals.
Deliver evidence-based therapy sessions using a variety of techniques and tools.
Monitor patient progress regularly and adjust therapy programmes accordingly.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including doctors, nurses, and occupational therapists to ensure holistic patient care.
Educate patients and their families about communication strategies and exercises to support ongoing improvement.
Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatment sessions, and progress notes in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Stay informed about the latest developments in speech therapy practices and relevant medical knowledge.
Skills
Proven experience in speech therapy with strong knowledge of physiology related to speech and swallowing functions.
Proficiency in medical terminology relevant to healthcare settings.
Solid understanding of human anatomy as it pertains to speech production and respiratory processes.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently.
Compassionate approach with strong interpersonal skills to connect effectively with patients of all ages.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
