About the Role
Our client, a regional leader in architectural surfaces and premium interior fit-out materials is seeking a Specifications Engineer to join their growing team in Dubai.
This role is the critical link between technical expertise and commercial execution, working closely with the sales team to provide product knowledge, specification support, and client-facing consultation across key projects in the UAE and GCC.
You will act as a trusted advisor to architects, designers, consultants, and contractors delivering tailored solutions aligned with design intent, technical feasibility, and project scope.
Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the sales team to develop accurate technical specifications and project proposals.
• Liaise with architects, consultants, and developers to secure product approvals and placement on BOQs/spec packages.
• Review project drawings, material schedules, and tender documents to align product suitability and technical performance.
• Conduct technical presentations and product demos for clients and specifiers.
• Prepare compliant submittals, mock-ups, and project-specific documentation.
• Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support, including site visits when required.
• Maintain strong communication with internal teams, including operations, procurement, and marketing.
• Stay updated on industry standards, certifications, and regulatory compliance.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Architectural) or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a client-facing technical or specifications role.
• Prior experience in building materials, fit-out products, facade systems, or architectural finishes is strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a commercial mindset.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and translate them into actionable specification documents.
• Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools is a plus.
• Based in Dubai or available to relocate immediately; UAE driving license preferred.
