A bachelor\'s degree in telecom engineering or equivalent from an accredited university with a minimum of fifteen (15+) years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry, including minimum (5) years, preferred in GCC region. Must have at least five (5) years of experience in a similar position in a mega Offshore Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects.
Works with a team of Specialists, Senior Engineers and Engineers from EPC Contractors, Telecom System Integrator (TSI) or Telecommunication vendors.
2. JOB PURPOSE:
Works closely with the telecom specialists and engineers from Contractors/ Consultants/TSI to ensure application of COMPANY and industry standards during the EPC Project phases in a manner that meets Project design requirements within the cost and schedule targets set by COMPANY.
3. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Review/revise all relevant engineering deliverables prepared by Contractor/ Consultant and ensure that COMPANY provided comments are included in Project Documents.
Participate in relevant workshops providing necessary technical input to ensure installations are meeting project requirements.
Respond to technical queries from Contractors/ Consultants and others, as deemed necessary in respect to relevant discipline.
Review Contractors/TSI designs for compliance with Project requirements and specifications and propose necessary amendments.
Review requests for Design Deviations / Concession Requests proposed by Contractors/Telecom System Integrator or Telecom Vendors.
Review technical content of variation orders in the Project Contract.
Review project specifications and propose amendments as needed to meet Project requirements.
Review of relevant equipment design/configuration to meet Project expansion and future growth requirements.
