Job Purpose

Provide Supply & Trading Directorate with a continual up-to-date interpretation of the global oil market trends, by monitoring and analyzing various sources of information in reflection of ADNOC Hydrocarbon production footprint covering all products (Crude oil, Condensate, Naphtha, Jet A1, Gasoline, Gasoil, Fuel Oil, Ethylene, Propylene, Sulphur, LPG, Base oils, Ethane, Carbon Black, Petroleum Coke, Benzene & Paraxylene).
Review market supply/demand balances and analyze market conditions to provide price/trend forecasts and market outlooks and advice on pricing strategy covering ADNOC portfolio. Support Trading Units and Departments within Supply and Trading Directorate in their daily portfolio management/optimization exercises

Job Specific Accountabilities

Marketing Research Initiatives
  • Gather, monitor and analyze information related to global petroleum markets from a variety of sources to prepare regular reports including daily, weekly and monthly Crude & Condensate, Refined Products, Gas, Sulphur, Olefins & Aromatics covering actual market developments to advice Sales and Trading Units on price discovery and market trends.
  • Maintain up-to-date market information on all ADNOC hydrocarbon products, oil industry trading practices, individual country and regional oil supply/demand balances and oil flows affecting ADNOC & the UAE position in the global energy market.
  • Prepare presentations for high management, staff of Sales & Trading Units, other Business Line Directorates, and participate in regular and ad-hoc meetings with, refinery representatives and experts from external institutions & consultants.
  • Provide short term/long term market outlooks and price forecasts for ADNOC 17 Hydrocarbons; used on a corporate level within ADNOC. Also, participate in quarterly meetings to highlight the market situation for global refineries and advice on ADNOC Refinery optimization and profitability.
  • Prepare quarterly market outlook reports for Sales Units prior to term contract negotiation; in addition to carrying out spot sales or purchase assessments for ADNOC Hydrocarbon products.
  • Present analysis in written and presentation form, and plan meetings to Senior Management and various Units inclusive of other Directorates within ADNOC; as well as Government Officials and other critical stakeholders to ADNOC group.

Supervision
  • Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
  • Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective section objectives.
Budgets
  • Provide input for preparation of the Section / Department budgets and assist in the implementation of the approved Budget and work plans to deliver Section objectives.
  • Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
  • Implement approved Section / Department policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the Section\'s / Department work programs in line with Company and International standards.
Performance Management
  • Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Section / Department in line with the Company Performance framework.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
  • Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.
  • Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with ISO standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.
Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability
  • Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.
Reports
  • Provide inputs to prepare Section MIS and progress reports for Company Management.
Internal Communications & Working Relationships
  • Regular work related contacts with VP, Department Manager and all staff and team members within the Function on matters related to the Marketing strategy and policies, operations, administration, people, HSE and integrity.
  • Contacts with senior management of all Functions in MS&T.
  • Regular contacts with other Directorates (like Finance, Upstream, Downstream, Group IT, etc.).
  • Regular contact with Management of ADNOC Group Companies.
External Communications & Working Relationships
  • Contacts with third party service provider, suppliers, consultants and industry experts.
  • Frequent contacts with ADNOC Shareholder and partners for discussion, exchange of information / expertise purposes.
Minimum Qualification

Bachelor\'s degree in Economics / Business Administration / Finance / Accounting.

Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills

8 years of sales and marketing experience within the Oil & Gas industry including intensive technical sales, customer relation management, account management, and business development work.
