JOB PURPOSE:

The Specialist, FABS Financial Control & Reporting is responsible for preparing financial statements in accordance with International Accounting Standards and IFRS, maintaining cash accounts, assist for Audit, Settlements with Stock Markets, Payable Management, Budgets, Strategy Development and Operating Models as designed by FAB. Finance Officer must work within policy, procedures of the Bank and in compliance with Stock Exchange and Securities & Commodities regulations.

Ensure that the above financial and Operational related activities of the department are executed in an effective manner to provide the best services to the organization and to valued customers.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Preparation of monthly reports and submitting to the management with analysis and commentaries.
  • Preparation of VAT report and submitting to the Group VAT team and filing of VAT returns.
  • Assist the team for meeting the requirements of internal as well as external Auditors to comply with as per IAS/IFRS standards.
  • Review and approve the KRI in the Archer.
  • Review and approve the ECL file as per IFRS 9 requirement in ADMP.
  • Support Settlement operations for stock market positions with ADX/DFM and GCC and International Markets.
  • Assist Groundwork & Verification of inter department FAB SLAs proactively for the service provided for the benefit of the organization.
  • Assisting in preparing Revenue Generator\'s Balance Score Cards and RMD-ORM tools.
  • Reconciliation of all Internal & External accounts of the company.
SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITY:
  • Assist in daily settlement of obligations with Stock Markets pertaining to Abu Dhabi Stock Exchange and Dubai Financial Market.
  • Support in Settlement of Asset management funds and Financial Market Division with respect to their shares and Bonds transactions.
  • Settlement of executed equity trades by FABS clients in MENA and Global markets.
  • Margin Trading evaluations and calculation of interest.
  • Preparation of FABS monthly performance report by analysing actuals with Budget (Plan), reasoning with variances with graphical representations and commentary on performance.
  • Assisting in providing the requirements for quarterly external audits (KPMG) and similar to internal FAB yearly Audit and compliance obligation.
  • Preparation of calculations prior to execution of Forex deals thru Treasury for settlement of GCC/International currency trades.
  • Calculation of Equity/Debt Portfolio re-valuation for Investments with available Net Asset Value on periodical basis.
  • Assist in drafting of Service Level of Agreements between FABS and FAB divisions like Custody, PB, GCS and other divisions for mutual agreement on business relations.
  • Preparation of reports for regulators SCA/Security Market on monthly basis like Capital Adequacy, Client\'s segregation report and ageing reports complying with International XBRL standards.
  • Prepare SWIFT receipts and payments within FAB and external financial institution executions.
  • Develop study reports related to Internal projects subject to expansion (Feasibility study), growth (Comparative analysis), Financial Projections for FABS.
  • Authorize all financial transactions of Expenses/Income and Balance Sheet into Accounting system of FAB/FABS.
  • Assist in preparation of Incentive scheme schedule complying with broker incentive policy.
  • Reconcile and control G/L accounts, cash positions, suspense accounts / Transit and Treasury related accounts.
  • Drafting of report requirements to FAB divisions like FCD, RMD, PB and other divisions.
  • Booking of accruals for premise expenses, staff allocated costs and other operating charges.
  • Co-ordinate for the raising PR and PO and follow with invoice team for the payments to vendors.
  • Joint custody of Security Chubs and Vaults.
Qualifications
  • Candidate should have relevant experience in the same market for at least 3 years.
  • Should be able to handle all tasks as instructed by the Head of Finance.
