Duties:

• Direct and manage all aspects of orthopedic surgery services, including surgical planning and techniques, patient assessment, clinical evaluation, and treatment
• Develop and implement treatment plans for orthopedic conditions, including surgery, physical therapy, and medications
• Track patient progress, noting weight fluctuations, complications, and complications
• Advise on use of medications and physical therapy, including strategies for pain management
• Interpret test results and guidelines to physicians, nurses, and patients
• Assist in the training of orthopedic staff
• Investigate the effectiveness of treatment, recommending changes as needed
• Develop and maintain professional partnerships with the community
• Prepare professional reports, presentations, and correspondence

Responsibilities:

• Surgeons must have an active medical staff
• Surgeons must have completed an orthopedic surgery residency

Requirements And Skills:

• Perform surgeries and care for patients with musculoskeletal disorders, orthopedic trauma, spine disorders, and other orthopedic conditions
• Develop treatment plans and surgical plans for complex cases
• Conduct evaluations of patients to determine appropriate surgical and non-surgical treatment options
• Perform surgical procedures, including positioning the patient under anesthesia, making an incision, and suturing the incision
• Use minimally invasive techniques to increase patient comfort and reduce recovery time
• Develop treatment plans for patients requiring assistive devices, such as braces, casts, or wheelchairs
• Conduct regular follow-up phone calls to patients to monitor their progress
• Attend conferences, seminars, and training sessions to keep current with new developments and advances in orthopedic care
• Attend meetings and perform other administrative duties
