Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialist-level ophthalmology care with a focus on anterior segment conditions including cornea, lens, anterior chamber, and iris
• Diagnose and manage cataracts, corneal disorders, anterior uveitis, and related eye diseases
• Perform anterior segment surgical procedures such as cataract extraction, intraocular lens implantation, corneal transplantation, and pterygium excision
• Conduct vision assessments, prescribe glasses and contact lenses, and interpret diagnostic tests including corneal topography and anterior segment OCT
• Manage outpatient and emergency eye clinics, including pre-operative and post-operative patient care
• Prescribe medications and maintain accurate, confidential medical records
• Counsel patients on treatment options, preventive eye care, and long-term management plans
• Participate in clinical audits, continuing medical education, quality improvement initiatives, and research activities
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, referring physicians, patients, and families to ensure continuity of care

Ideal Profile

• DHA-licensed Specialist in Ophthalmology with subspecialty expertise in anterior segment surgery
• Minimum 5 years of post-qualification specialist experience with significant anterior segment surgical exposure
• Strong clinical and surgical competence across all aspects of anterior segment ophthalmology
• Patient-focused approach with the ability to build and maintain a strong referral base
• Fluent in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage
• Certified in Basic Life Support and Advanced Life Support
