Job Description
Special Education Teacher
Responsibilities:
? Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team and parents (SLT & OT) to create an IEP for each student
? Write and present IEPs as well as quarterly progress reports
? Provide instruction in a small group setup and a one-to-one staff to student ratio
? Continuously track and assess students' IEP progress; seek support from the supervisor in a timely manner when assistance is needed
? Implement ABA principles when teaching IEP goals and when managing challenging behavior
? Implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of the BCBA
? Maintain regular communication with parents through IEP meetings, communication logs and phone contact, where necessary.
? Attend and participate in staff meetings and trainings
? Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment
? Train classroom teacher assistants to ensure an optimal learning environment is achieved for all students
Qualifications:
? Minimum Bachelors degree in SPECIAL EDUCATION, Degree should be attested from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
? Equivalency certificate
? ABA experience is preferred
