As Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef to oversee all kitchen operations, ensure quality consistency, and lead a team of cooks in preparing high-quality Korean dishes. This is a senior role requiring strong expertise in traditional and modern Korean cuisine.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Head Chef in menu development, planning, and execution.
Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring smooth daily operations.
Maintain the authenticity and quality of Korean dishes.
Manage food inventory, cost control, and kitchen cleanliness.
Train and mentor junior chefs and kitchen staff.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef in a Korean restaurant (minimum 5 years).
Deep knowledge of traditional and contemporary Korean cuisine (e.g., kimchi, bulgogi, bibimbap, jjigae, etc.).
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.
