We are looking for a passionate and skilled

Sous Chef

specializing in

Italian and American cuisine

to join a reputed fine-dining restaurant in Oman. The candidate should have solid kitchen management experience, creativity in menu development, and the ability to deliver high-quality dishes consistently.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the

Head Chef

in daily kitchen operations and ensure smooth service at all times. Prepare and oversee the cooking of Italian and American dishes including pasta, risotto, pizza, steaks, burgers, and other regional specialties. Supervise and train kitchen staff to maintain high culinary and hygiene standards. Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and portion control according to restaurant standards. Support

menu planning, recipe development

, and food cost control. Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards in compliance with

HACCP guidelines

. Monitor inventory, request supplies, and reduce food waste through effective planning. Work collaboratively with the team to ensure excellent kitchen performance and timely service.

Requirements:

Minimum

2 years of experience

as a

Sous Chef

or

Senior CDP

in Italian or American cuisine. Strong knowledge of both

traditional and modern Italian & American cooking techniques

. Culinary diploma or equivalent professional certification preferred. Excellent leadership and organizational skills. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining food quality and consistency. Good communication skills and the ability to train and motivate junior staff. Sound understanding of

food safety and hygiene standards
